FAQ

Straight answers, no jargon.

Everything homeowners ask before (and after) becoming customers. Don't see your question? Call us — a person answers.

Getting Started

How do I get a quote, and what does it cost?

Quotes are free and fast — fill out the form or call, tell us what you're seeing and your home's rough size, and we'll price your plan. Our Pricing Guarantee means the number we quote is the number you pay: no trip fees, no surprise add-ons.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

Our recurring plans are how we keep homes protected year-round, but we earn your business visit by visit — that's what the Money-Back Guarantee is for. If we can't resolve a covered problem and you're not satisfied, we refund your last payment.

What areas do you serve?

Greater Hartford and central Connecticut from our West Hartford team, and Cape Cod and the surrounding Massachusetts towns from our Cape Cod branch. See the Service Areas page for the full town list.

Safety

Are your treatments safe for children and pets?

Yes. We follow Integrated Pest Management: small amounts of kid-and-pet-friendly products placed precisely where pests live and travel — cracks, voids, entry points, soil — not broadcast over the surfaces your family touches. Once exterior applications are dry, typically under an hour, the yard is fully usable.

Do I need to leave home during service?

No. Exterior service doesn't affect you at all, and interior work is targeted crack-and-crevice treatment — you can stay in the room while your technician works.

Will treatments harm my lawn, garden, or pollinators?

Our yard granules don't harm the lawn, and we keep applications off flowering plants where bees forage. Mosquito and tick work targets resting sites and soil, not blossoms — protecting your family and the pollinators aren't in conflict.

Service & Scheduling

What happens on a typical visit?

Four steps, every time: we notify you about a week ahead; your technician greets you and inspects the perimeter while de-webbing; treatment follows IPM principles — exterior barrier every visit, interior on request; and you get a written review of what was found, treated, and how to prevent more.

Do you handle one-time problems, or only recurring plans?

Both. Wasp nests, ant invasions, and mice are available as one-time services with the same guarantees. Most customers move to a recurring plan afterward because prevention costs less than emergencies — but that's your call, never pressure.

What if it rains right after my treatment?

Our exterior products are formulated to bond to surfaces once dry, and granules actually activate with moisture. If weather ever compromises an application, the Retreatment Guarantee covers a free return visit — just call.

Pricing & Guarantees

What do your guarantees actually cover?

Five commitments: the quoted price is the price (Pricing), we're reachable and responsive (Contact), pests back between visits means we come back free (Retreatment), courteous professional service always (Smile), and if we can't fix a covered problem you get your last payment back (Money-Back).

Why choose Seaport over a national chain?

You get a local team that knows New England housing stock — fieldstone foundations, cedar shakes, coastal moisture — with owners you can actually reach. Same professional-grade products and licensing, without a call center between you and your technician.
